Dreamgro has recalled almost 26,000 of its Lullaby mermaid travel soothers over concerns that part of the toy can detach, posing a choking hazard.
The soothers recall was published to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website on Nov. 7. It applies to about 25,900 Dreamgro Lullaby mermaid travel soothers that are shaped as a mermaid, have a soft gold star attached to the mermaid’s head, and were sold in light blue and pink colors.
According to the recall, the soother’s gold-colored soft star can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.
The recall comes after Dreamgro received one report of the soft star detaching from the toy, the notice says. No injuries have been reported so far.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled soothers and take them away from children, the Dreamgro recall warns.
“Return the soother to the store where purchased for a full refund,” the notice adds.
The soothers were sold at Beall’s Outlet Stores, Burlington Merchandising, DD’S Discounts, Macy’s Backstage, Marshalls, Nordstrom Rack, and TJ Maxx stores nationwide between January 2024 and May 2024, for between $6 and $9.
Last month, Fisher-Price recalled more than 2 million Snuga infant swings due to a suffocation hazard and after five infant death reports.
