Bearings are friction-reducing devices used in automotive and industrial machinery. They allow moving parts to glide past each other easily.

“Bearings Actions” refers to the relevant class action lawsuits in which the plaintiffs alleged the defendants violated the federal Sherman Act by fixing prices on automotive bearings.

The settlement fund will be distributed on a pro rata basis to all claimants. The amount of each payment will vary based on the claimant’s direct purchases of bearings.

Funds will be distributed after the settlement administrator reviews and audits the claim forms and the Court approves their determination.

Consumers who meet the Class definition will be automatically included in the settlement Class unless they choose to be excluded.

Indirect purchasers are not eligible to take part in this settlement.

Class Members who would like to file a claim in the automotive bearings settlement must file a claim form and the required supporting documentation.

The form asks for certain information related to the bearing purchases, a description of documentation supporting those claimed purchases, and summary totals of the purchases from each defendant and for each year during the class period.

A fairness hearing will take place June 10, 2021.

Objections and exclusion requests must be filed by May 5, 2021.
