Sierra-at-Tahoe agreed to a class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims it advertised single-day ski lift tickets online without disclosing parking restrictions.
The Sierra-at-Tahoe class action settlement benefits consumers who purchased single-day ski lift tickets online for Sierra-at-Tahoe on Dec. 12, 14, 18-19 and 29, 2020; Jan. 9 and 30-31, 2021; and Feb. 6, 13 and 20, 2021, but were not able to use the tickets due to parking restrictions.
According to the lawsuit, Sierra-at-Tahoe advertised single-day ski lift tickets online that were valid for specific dates without disclosing parking restrictions that would prevent customers from using their tickets.
Plaintiffs in the case say they purchased tickets for specific dates but were not able to use them because of the parking restrictions.
Sierra-at-Tahoe, a ski resort in California, has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay an undisclosed sum to resolve the parking class action lawsuit.
Under the terms of the Sierra-at-Tahoe class action settlement, class members can receive either a cash refund or a ski lift ticket voucher. Refunds will be equal to the amount paid for each unused single-day ski lift ticket. Vouchers will be valid for three ski seasons and have an estimated value of $83 to $140.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is June 10, 2025.
The final approval hearing for the Sierra-at-Tahoe ski ticket lawsuit settlement is scheduled for July 10, 2025.
To receive a settlement refund or voucher, class members must submit a valid claim form by June 24, 2025.

Consumers who purchased a single-day ski lift ticket online for use at Sierra-at-Tahoe on Dec. 12, 14, 18-19 and 29, 2020; Jan. 9 and 30-31, 2021; or Feb. 6, 13 and 20, 2021, but were unable to use the ticket due to parking restrictions.
