Korean Air Lines Co., Ltd. and Asiana Airlines Inc. have reached a $65 million class action lawsuit settlement resolving allegations they conspired to fix prices for air passenger travel between the U.S. and the Republic of Korea. If you bought a qualifying ticket between January 1, 2000 and August 1, 2007, you may be entitled to cash and coupons for future air passenger travel as part of the class action settlement.
The Korean Air settlement will resolve a class action lawsuit that claims the alleged conspiracy included meetings, conversations and communications in the U.S. and elsewhere between the two Defendants during which they agreed to establish artificially high prices for air passenger travel.
In cases separate from this class action lawsuit, brought by the United States Department of Justice, the Defendants pled guilty to criminal antitrust violations and agreed to pay a fine. Despite pleading guilty in the DOJ cases, Korean Air Lines and Asiana Airlines deny the allegations raised in the class action lawsuit but have agreed to a settlement to resolve the litigation.

Just spoke with Chicago Clearing and they said everything is 100% done. The lawyers need to clear a few matters with the airlines. Since today is Tuesday April 19 and it takes at least 7 days to get mail from the east coast (or west wherever its originating from) dont expect to get any checks for at least Friday of next week and that is if they mailed them out tomorrow.
Look, in case you havent figured it out already, Im an attorney. What you are saying is nonsense, and very easily disproved. I dont know why you insist on making a fool of yourself.
Yes, a Korean American attorney who ACTUALLY made 5 trips to Korea unlike many of you lowlife bottom feeders.
You are incorrect. An appeal was filed by the lawyers representing the ticket agency to the 9th circuit court of appeals who immediately issued a stay of execution for the distribution of the funds held in escrow by RUST consulting on march 30.No docket number I can find as of yet.As you all know this process takes years to complete all appeals. The excuse of the website and coupons database is all a bunch of smoke and mirrors. The lawyers want the money and will exhaust all avenues to get it.Its AMERICA people..Lawyers suing lawyers suing lawyers…LOL
no appeals its just setting up the coupon data base per Rust.
No appeals just spoke with the lawyers an they are just awaiting the coupon codes. Which is outrageous because they have been working on this for a year. They said they would be done in Summer, then September and now April. What is crazy is that it has been nearly a year since they have been working on this data base, dont you think at least they could have gotten all but the coupon section finished (website, authorization set up, etc…) and then they could have done the codes which would take what, three days to complete with a random number generator? Crazy if you ask me.
DELAYED DELAYED NO CHECKS ! And Rust says they don’t when checks will be issued !
Someone just called me back from Rust and said we are defiantly getting paid this month in April.

there is no appeal. I talked to the attorneys over rust jeff westerman and he said the delay is because of website to convert and sell airline tickets. No appeal or anything like that. You can google the attorney listed on the Korean airline lawsuit website and call them yourself he is the one that made the call to stop the checks from being mailed
apparently he means the state appeals court not the supreme court …to many courts and appeals…remember people this is huge business for the lawyers and courts…dont want them having nothing to do and not making a paycheck would we now?…to be continued forever….
hmm… state appeals court…for an antitrust case… Now thats just silly.
This is a federal matter, not a state matter, and the 9th District court is only two steps below the Supreme Court. The judge would not have signed off unless he knew there were no appeals. He is the one that declined the travel agent in November. If there were an appeal it would have happened after Feb. 3 when he signed off on the document. There are no appeals in the Appellate court, at least until July, that I can see. Which would be six month down the road so there is probably no appeal.
Whats the case, court and docket number. Since the Appellate Court (Not the Supreme Court) is the next step and Four Seasons didnt appeal in November when they lost the case. The only court above that is the Supreme Court and most likely they wont hear it since it has no implication on the Constitution.
