2010 Decennial Census settlement

QuickSIUS LLC d/b/a Quick Search has agreed to pay $450,000 to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) by furnishing background reports without taking reasonable measures to ensure that the information contained in the reports was accurate.

If Quick Search prepared a background report on you between Nov. 3, 2013 and March 7, 2017, you may be entitled to benefits from the class action settlement.

The Quick Search class action lawsuit alleges the background check company violated FCRA by furnishing background reports without ensuring the information contained in the reports was accurate.

The FCRA class action lawsuit was filed on behalf of consumers who were identified as having a Pennsylvania Summary Offense labeled as a misdemeanor or more severe offense listed in the report and/or people who had the same offense reported in more than one section of a Quick Search background report.

Quick Search denies the claims in the FCRA class action lawsuit but agreed to a settlement to avoid the burden, risk, expense and uncertainty of ongoing litigation. It has agreed to pay $450,000 to settle the FCRA class action lawsuit.

The Quick Search class action settlement was preliminarily approved on Dec. 20, 2017.

Class Members who want to opt out of or object to the Quick Search background report settlement must do so no later than April 2, 2018.
