$5.48M Mattress Firm false discounts class action settlement

Mattress Firm agreed to pay $5.48 million to resolve claims it deceptively advertised discounts on its website.

The settlement benefits California residents who purchased one to four mattresses in a single transaction from MattressFirm.com between Aug. 1, 2020, and July 16, 2024.

According to the class action lawsuit, Mattress Firm advertised deceptive discounts on its website. These false discounts allegedly violated California’s consumer protection laws.

Mattress Firm, a mattress retailer with locations across the country, has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $5.48 million class action settlement to resolve the allegations.

Under the terms of the Mattress Firm settlement, class members can receive a cash payment or store credit based on the number of mattresses they purchased.

Class members who purchased one mattress can receive a $40 payment. Those who purchased two mattresses can receive $80, those who purchased three mattresses can receive $120 and those who purchased four mattresses can receive $160.

Class members who do not file a claim will receive store credit instead of a cash payment.

The deadline for exclusion and objection is Aug. 5, 2025.

The final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for Oct. 10, 2025.

To receive settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by Aug. 5, 2025.
