TruGreen TCPA Class Action Settlement

A class action lawsuit settlement has been reached with TruGreen Inc. over allegations the lawn care and maintenance service company violated Telephone Consumer Protection Act statutes.

The plaintiffs of the TruGreen class action lawsuit allege the company violated TCPA laws by making unsolicited phone calls to cell phone users without their prior expressed consent. These calls were allegedly placed on or after May 29, 2009, also known as the Class Period. The proposed TruGreen class action settlement will provide relief to qualifying Class Members who received unsolicited telephone calls to their mobile phones.

TruGreen has denied all wrongdoing in this TCPA class action lawsuit, but has decided to settle in order to avoid further court and attorney expenses, as well as the uncertainty future litigation.

Who’s Eligible

You are a Class Member of the nationwide TruGreen TCPA class action settlement if:

• You are a U.S. citizen
• You received an unsolicited telephone call from TruGreen or on behalf of TruGreen to your cell phone device placed by an automatic telephone dialing system on or after May 29, 2009; and
• You did not give your prior expressed consent to receive phone calls from TruGreen.

Potential Award

Up to $500

Eligible TruGreen TCPA settlement Class Members who submit complete Claim Forms before the deadline will receive up to $500 per claim submitted. The exact amount awarded to each Class Member will vary based on the number of valid claims submitted.

Proof of Purchase

To file a claim, each Class Member must fill out the Pre-Claim Form provided in the link bellow with the 8-digit Claimant ID Number located in the Claim Form each individual received in the mail, and also include the first three letters of his/her name. After this is filled out, please follow the instructions to complete and submit a Claim Form before Dec. 15, 2014.
