MarinHealth Medical Center has agreed to a $3 million class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims it violated consumer privacy rights by using Meta Pixel on its website.

The MarinHealth Medical Center settlement benefits anyone who visited the hospital’s website between Aug. 1, 2019, and May 27, 2025.

According to the class action lawsuit, MarinHealth violated consumer privacy rights by using Meta Pixel on its website. The hospital allegedly used Meta Pixel to share sensitive patient information with third parties, such as Facebook and Google.

HSCGP also faced a similar class action lawsuit and agreed to a settlement to resolve claims that it violated consumer privacy laws by using tracking technologies on patient portal websites that shared patient information with third parties without consent.

MarinHealth Medical Center is a hospital in Marin County, California.

MarinHealth has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $3 million class action settlement to resolve the allegations.

Under the terms of the MarinHealth class action lawsuit settlement, class members can receive a cash payment.

Class members who submit a valid claim form can receive a proportional share of the net settlement fund. Exact payments will vary depending on the number of claims filed with the settlement. According to the settlement website, payments could be between $78 and $261.

The deadline for exclusion and objection is Aug. 25, 2025.

The final approval hearing for the MarinHealth Medical Center settlement is scheduled for Oct. 20, 2025.

To receive settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by Sept. 24, 2025.

Anyone who visited a MarinHealth Medical Center website between Aug. 1, 2019, and May 27, 2025.
