Halliburton class action settlement

A settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit alleging certain Halliburton employees were not paid overtime as required under federal and/or state law. Certain drilling fluids personnel who were employed by Halliburton between Jan. 1, 2012 and June 30, 2015 may be entitled to compensation from the class action settlement.

The settlement will resolve a wage & hour class action lawsuit that alleges Halliburton violated the federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and various state labor laws by failing to pay some of its workers overtime.

The Halliburton unpaid overtime class action lawsuit was handled by an arbitrator and the parties have agreed to a settlement. Halliburton will pay up to $18 million under the terms of the proposed class action settlement.

According to court documents, more than 1,000 Class Members across the United States may be eligible for compensation from this class action settlement.

The Halliburton class action settlement received preliminary approval on Jan. 4, 2016. Class Members who are eligible for payment should have received notice of this Halliburton unpaid overtime settlement. If you would like more information about the Halliburton settlement or if you need to change your address, you may do so at the settlement website.

Class Members who wish to object to or opt out of the Halliburton settlement must do so no later than March 4, 2016.

Who’s Eligible

Class Members of the Halliburton unpaid overtime settlement include certain drilling fluids personnel in levels Field Service Representative I through Field Professional II who worked domestically during the time period ranging from Jan. 1, 2012 to June 30, 2015.
