A settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit alleging Halliburton Energy Services Inc. failed to pay some of its employees overtime as required by law. If you worked domestically for Halliburton as a DD, MWD or LWD in the level of Associate through Level II during the period ranging from March 1, 2013 to April 17, 2015 and were not paid for overtime you worked, you may be entitled to payment from the Halliburton class action settlement.
The proposed Halliburton class action settlement will resolve allegations the oil and gas giant misclassified some of its employees and failed to pay them overtime as required by state and/or federal law.
Plaintiff Joseph Neely engaged in private arbitration with Halliburton, and the proposed class action settlement was filed on Sept. 11, 2015. The arbitrator preliminarily approved the Halliburton unpaid overtime settlement on Nov. 12, 2015.
Under the terms of the proposed class action settlement, Halliburton will pay up to $18.25 million to resolve the arbitration.
