knight transportation class action settlement

Knight Transportation Inc. has agreed to pay $3.6 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it failed to properly pay its employees for minimum wage, wrongful deduction, and late payment of wages.

If you were employed by Knight Transportation in Oregon from June 9, 2004 through Sept. 30, 2015 and did not timely receive final wages during this time period, you may be entitled to compensation from the class action settlement.

The wage and hour class action lawsuit was initially filed by plaintiff Patrick Griffus in June 2010. Griffus claims Knight Transportation failed to pay its employees minimum wage, wrongfully deducted their wages, or provided late payment of wages.

Knight Transportation denies the allegations but agreed to settle the class action lawsuit to avoid the expense and uncertainty of ongoing litigation. The Knight Transportation class action settlement received preliminary approval on Sept. 24, 2015.

Class Members who wish to opt out of or object to the Knight Transportation settlement must do so no later than Nov. 15, 2015.

Who’s Eligible

Class Members include all drivers who are or were employed by Knight Transportation in Oregon from June 9, 2004 through Sept. 30, 2015, and who attended orientation, who were paid per diem, who had $200 deducted from their wages, and who did not timely receive final wages during the Class Period.

I was employed with knight transportation in 10/2013 to 4/2014 and i was alway getting shorted on my checks. I would say 9 times out of ten i had to wait until the next pay period for my paycheck. I had to go days without eating, due to their lack of organization, and data accuracy. Can i still file my claim ?
