$19M QuoteWizard text message class action settlement

QuoteWizard agreed to a $19 million class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims it violated the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by sending unsolicited telemarketing texts.

The QuoteWizard settlement benefits individuals whose telephone numbers were listed on the National Do Not Call Registry and who received more than one telemarketing text from QuoteWizard within any 12-month period.

According to a QuoteWizard class action lawsuit, the company sent telemarketing texts to individuals even though their numbers were registered with the National Do Not Call Registry. QuoteWizard allegedly violated the TCPA by contacting consumers on the National Do Not Call Registry without their consent.

QuoteWizard is a comparison website that allows consumers to compare insurance quotes from multiple providers. The company also provides insurance leads to agents and other companies.

QuoteWizard has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $19 million class action settlement to resolve the allegations.

Under the terms of the QuoteWizard settlement, class members can receive a cash payment based on the number of telemarketing texts they received from QuoteWizard.

Class members who received two texts will receive a minimum payment of $76. Those who received additional texts will receive $38 per additional text. Exact payment amounts will vary depending on the number of texts received and the number of participating class members.

The deadline for exclusion and objection is Aug. 5, 2025.

The final approval hearing for the QuoteWizard class action settlement is scheduled for Sept. 29, 2025.

No claim form is required to benefit from the settlement. Class members who do not exclude themselves will automatically receive settlement benefits.

Consumers whose phone numbers were listed on the National Do Not Call Registry and who received more than one telemarketing text from QuoteWizard within any 12-month period.
