Certain delivery drivers for Pacific Pie, doing business as Domino’s Pizza, and other defendants have reached a settlement agreement resolving claims the business violated Washington wage laws.

The Class is made up of all current and former employees who worked as pizza delivery drivers for defendants Pacific Pie Inc., Liberty Pizza LLC (also doing business as Domino’s Pizza), and Shane Anderson sometime between June 1, 2015, and Aug. 30, 2020.

A former pizza delivery driver filed the class action lawsuit, alleging Pacific Pie and the other defendants did not provide drivers with 30-minute lunch breaks on shifts that were five hours or longer and permitted off-the-clock work.

Pacific Pie, based in Spokane, has about 95 employees, according to the company’s profile on Buzzfile.

The defendants maintain they have done nothing wrong.

The Court has not ruled in favor of either party in this case; instead, the parties have agreed to the settlement to avoid the expense and burden of litigation.

Attorneys’ fees and other expenses will be deducted from the settlement fund before Class Members are paid.

Payments to individual Class Members will be divided equally between back wages (which will be subject to payroll taxes) and interest.

Final individual payment estimates are not available.

A final approval hearing in the Pacific Pie settlement will take place Oct. 1, 2021.

The deadline to object to the settlement is Aug. 22, 2021, while the deadline to opt out is Sept. 20, 2021.

The deadline to file a claim is also Sept. 20, 2021.
