The Align probiotic class action settlement resolved allegations that the supplement was falsely advertised as being able to help digestive health.

The Pivotal Payments class action settlement ended claims that the credit card processing services company sent out unwanted telemarketing calls.

Align Probiotic Class Action Settlement Checks

Checks in the mail received by Align probiotic settlement Class Members are reportedly valued as high as $49.26. The Align class action lawsuit was initially filed in October 2011. Plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit argued that manufacturer Procter & Gamble made false claims about what their probiotics were capable of. Align probiotics reportedly contain “unique and patented probiotic bacteria called ‘Bifantis’” which Procter & Gamble claimed was scientifically proven to improve digestion.However, the Align class action lawsuit claimed that the probiotics were nothing out of the ordinary and contained “naturally occurring bacteria.”A $30 million settlement was proposed to settle the class action in October 2017. The settlement benefited consumers who purchased Align probiotics between March 1, 2016 and June 6, 2016.The deadline to file a claim under the Align probiotics settlement was May 16, 2018.Plaintiffs and Class Members in the Align class action settlement are represented by Timothy G. Blood and Thomas J. O’Reardon II of Blood Hurst & O’Reardon LLP.The Align Probiotic Class Action Lawsuit is Dino Rikos, et al. v. Procter & Gamble Co., Case No. 1:11-cv-00226, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Pivotal Payments TCPA Class Action Settlement Checks

Top Class Actions viewers have also reported receiving checks in the mail from a Pivotal Payments TCPA settlement. Checks from this settlement fund are reportedly worth more than $400.The class action against Pivotal Payments Inc. was filed in September 2016 by plaintiffs claiming that the company routinely called consumers for telemarketing robocall purposes. These robocalls were allegedly placed without consumer consent. Plaintiffs claimed that Pivotal Payments robocalls violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). This federal law protects consumers from a variety of harassing behaviors including: placing robocalls; using an automated dialing machine; using a pre-recorded message; sending unsolicited text messages; failing to provide an opt-out option; calling numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry; and more.A
$9 million settlement was proposed in November 2017 to resolve TCPA claims against Pivotal Payments. The TCPA settlement benefited consumers who received one or more robocalls from Pivotal promoting their credit card processing services between April 15, 2016 and Sept. 2, 2016.

Settlement Class Members had until June 29, 2018 to submit a valid Claim Form.

    HOW DO I FIND OUT IF MY CHECK HAS BEEN SENT AND RECEIVED? I am still holding on to my copy of the claim form I sent, but do not recall ever receiving my check. Are you still in the process of mailing them or can I track the check with my claim ID number? 08/11/2021
