One issue may be that the name of the business the customer is familiar with is different from the registered name of the business. For example, customers may know a business as “XYZ Restaurant,” but the legal name of the business may be “Fine Food Company, doing business as XYZ Restaurant”.
Additionally, the storefront business may be owned by any number of parent companies, and these companies may potentially need to be named in the lawsuit.
Further, a complaint and summons may need to be served on the registered agent of the business.
An internet search can be a good place to verify the name of a business. The offices of the county clerks or secretary of state may also be a helpful resource to find the name of the business.
Further, there may be some question as to where to file the lawsuit against a business. Called “jurisdiction,” where the lawsuit is filed may depend on where the parties live or where the events leading to the dispute took place. Determining jurisdiction can become complicated when business transactions take place over the internet or if there are multiple defendants, such as parent companies, involved.
Arbitration in a lawsuit with a business

I feel like my every move is being watched, and this constant scrutiny is not only invasive but also triggering, given my history of PTSD and depression from past domestic violence. Rather than providing a safe and supportive space, this program has only worsened my mental health, making it even harder to focus on rebuilding my life.
I find it unacceptable that a program designed to assist individuals is instead making life more difficult. If the goal is truly to help us adjust and build stability, then immediate changes need to be made. I urge you to address the following concerns as soon as possible:
1. Honoring Financial Agreements – Ensure that the promised financial support, including my first month’s rent, is properly covered as stated in writing.
2. Reducing Invasive Surveillance – The use of cameras should not be a tool for intimidation or control. While security is important, constant monitoring that creates a hostile environment is unacceptable.
3. Providing Proper Support – Implement workshops, meetings, and other forms of assistance to help residents adjust.
4. Ending Unnecessary Violations and Harassment – Violations should not be used as a method to unfairly target or threaten residents who are actively trying to improve their lives.
I cannot continue to live in an environment where I feel unsafe and constantly monitored. If these issues are not addressed immediately, I will have no choice but to explore legal options to protect my rights and well-being. I am trying my best to make positive changes in my life, and I expect this program to fulfill

Hi, I sell things on a huge platform called mercari and I have been rated a top consumer for a seller on their site and any issues that we may have only can be heard through an email and we have to wait for a response until they can get back with us. Now, the buyers and sellers are to rate each other before the seller can get paid, which is ok. Now, I have had an amazing rating up until just recently when one person out of a lot gave me a 1 star and left very negative things about me on there for everyone to see, so my thoughts, why would she do that,I’m not a shady seller. I reached out to mercari for help thinking that they would hear me out and understand that this is hurting my business, significantly because since then no one will buy anything from me, I kindly asked if they would investigate and clearly she didn’t have proof of her claims so I simply asked them to remove her complaint with no proof, they were going on and on that they would only take ratings off that they seen fit basically, as if my business with them was not important when I clearly told them I’m not making money now, they said that since I have great ratings that it won’t effect me when clearly it has!!! I bought a prepaid master card from Walmart securespend a 3rd party company I had money taken off my card from a company that doesn’t exist as soon as I purchased the card I see lots of people are having this problem with this company and they are not giving anyone there money back would like to see what legal action I can take.
I rent a storage unit at Storage King and I got a call from the manager to inform me that my unit had been broken into. The next morning I went to speak with the manager and herself and an employee (her father) were working on securing the door to my unit. I was in a hurry, but I opened the door to look inside my unit and I seen a good amount of my belongings still intact. The manager said that they had to purchase some supplies from Home Depot to secure my door. I wasn’t able to make it back over to my storage unit until a week later and upon my arrival had to go into office because they had placed one of their locks on my door. The employee did come and get the lock off and when I opened the door a massive amount of my property was no longer there. How could this happen when they were supposed to secure my door?
Fedex dropped a package off in the lobby of my building, instead delivering it to my apt. There is an elevator without restriction to my floor. The package was delivered at noon, and stolen at 2pm, and I went to check on it at 4pm. I was home at the time, if they had delivered it to my apt like it said on the box, there would be no problem. Fedex did not deliver my package. I would imagine this has happened to thousands of people, and may be grounds for a class action suit.
A company called Mint Mobile recently obtained unauthorized funds from my bank account. I have never had any dealings with this company so I don’t know how they got my account information but they took $1129.48 it has caused me to not be able to pay my bills on time also caused me not be able to take care of things that I needed to take care of. I’m wondering how can I get this situation or case filed against them?!

I’ve been fighting this ride share company for a while now and it seems that I’m getting nowhere. Its time for a multi dollar lawsuit. there picking up in my neighborhood each and every day and making extreme multi dollars. I’ve got a perfect record and don’t bother any one stand up civilian, Armed Security Officer, Top Honors in class, College Degree, Father Vietnam War, Grand Father World War II, prestige within the community, and it seems like there targeting me and I was also rejected from platform. The fact that they can make a decision and play with someone lively hood is unethical. At the push of a button no hearing or jury , they can impact someone life or career that was started over 20 years. This unconstitutional.

Have been doing business with wal-mart.com for years, I have my groceries delivered due to my age. & Health. The past 8 months have been horrible. MOLD on fresh fruit. EXPIRED Food,. Stale Bread, Orders not RECIEVED, The people that are Shoppers dont care . they just pick up item on list. and dont check the item for mold, stale, out of date.. etc. etc. Due to Drivers now have 2- to 10 DELIVERIES AT ONE TIME. Most of the time im missing items, also i have recieved items belonging to other customers. called on many many occasions and got no one to answer phone. Drivers instructions are clear. DO NOT PUT GROCERIES ON GROUND ! KNOCK ON DOOR BEFORE OR WHEN LEAVING, So i know the groceries have been delivered. Well i have photos where they did leave them on the ground. The drivers are not respecting the customers instructions. wal mart is given theses drivers many many deliveries at the same time. this is the reason i believe people are missing items all the time. they are not seperated , especially when you have been given 10 deliveries for diffenet parts of the town where you live. i blame WAL MART for given theses drivers so many deliveries all at once. Have called and complained , aint no telling how many times. & customer service always says they will give this info to the higher ups. Now walmart has suspened my account, they sayi have violated due to return policy. DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. I am returning 2 items NOW that was sent to me , and being returned due to wrong items sent. i have photos of what i purchased & the wrong items sent, i pay for my items, i want what i ordered, people that work for walmart. in the warehouse are messing up big time. i know im not the only one this is happening to. but mine seems to be on a regular base.. when a driver delivery 1-2 orders at a time no issues. They have compleley blocked me from purchasing on line. PS. ITEMS THAT HAVE MILDEW, MOLD, OPENED, Walmart Now wants you to return the items to store before a REFUND WILL BE ISSUED.
Hi, I sell things on a huge platform called mercari and I have been rated a top consumer for a seller on their site and any issues that we may have only can be heard through an email and we have to wait for a response until they can get back with us. Now, the buyers and sellers are to rate each other before the seller can get paid, which is ok. Now, I have had an amazing rating up until just recently when one person out of a lot gave me a 1 star and left very negative things about me on there for everyone to see, so my thoughts, why would she do that,I’m not a shady seller. I reached out to mercari for help thinking that they would hear me out and understand that this is hurting my business, significantly because since then no one will buy anything from me, I kindly asked if they would investigate and clearly she didn’t have proof of her claims so I simply asked them to remove her complaint with no proof, they were going on and on that they would only take ratings off that they seen fit basically, as if my business with them was not important when I clearly told them I’m not making money now, they said that since I have great ratings that it won’t effect me when clearly it has!!! All I want is some help and they NEVER HELP WITH ANYTHING and just Always condescendingly respond! They are hurting my funds now and they don’t even care!! Please help, so many other people are going through the same thing! Please don’t let Mercari think that they can treat their customers this way!!! I pay them too much money for their platform for them to dismiss me like this and everyone else whom has been going through this matter!!! A great thank you in advance,

I bought a prepaid master card from Walmart securespend a 3rd party company I had money taken off my card from a company that doesn’t exist as soon as I purchased the card I see lots of people are having this problem with this company and they are not giving anyone there money back would like to see what legal action I can take.
I rent a storage unit at Storage King and I got a call from the manager to inform me that my unit had been broken into. The next morning I went to speak with the manager and herself and an employee (her father) were working on securing the door to my unit. I was in a hurry, but I opened the door to look inside my unit and I seen a good amount of my belongings still intact. The manager said that they had to purchase some supplies from Home Depot to secure my door. I wasn’t able to make it back over to my storage unit until a week later and upon my arrival had to go into office because they had placed one of their locks on my door. The employee did come and get the lock off and when I opened the door a massive amount of my property was no longer there. How could this happen when they were supposed to secure my door?
Oh Hell Naw. Always take a pic, of what is Yrs! But when u looked, & Evrythng was there. Then next, it’s dffrnt. It’s the Storage folks fault, then.
Fedex dropped a package off in the lobby of my building, instead delivering it to my apt. There is an elevator without restriction to my floor. The package was delivered at noon, and stolen at 2pm, and I went to check on it at 4pm. I was home at the time, if they had delivered it to my apt like it said on the box, there would be no problem. Fedex did not deliver my package. I would imagine this has happened to thousands of people, and may be grounds for a class action suit.
Im in the same situation, Just they take mine out my paycheck every week, Me and my kids are suing for damages. Violation of Rights in so many ways.
A company called Mint Mobile recently obtained unauthorized funds from my bank account. I have never had any dealings with this company so I don’t know how they got my account information but they took $1129.48 it has caused me to not be able to pay my bills on time also caused me not be able to take care of things that I needed to take care of. I’m wondering how can I get this situation or case filed against them?!
I bought an air conditioner from conns home plus about a year ago it has broken I have an extened warrenty until march 2024 and I live in lousiana where for the last 7 days or so I have seen the heat index at 114 I have called multiple times being lied to saying they are working on getting me an exchange at the corporate office in the beginning they said 3 to 5 days i filed it on July 26 and today is August 8th I am on disability I am in pain everyday and now I am dealing with even more pain Beaune of the headaches i am getting from being in the heat in the house
