woman getting telemarketing call from all web leads

A $6.5 million settlement has been reached to resolve claims that consumers received unsolicited phone calls from All Web Leads after searching for health insurance quotes online.

The settlement will benefit individuals who received one or more non-emergency calls from All Web Leads Inc. or any party acting on its behalf between Feb. 21, 2013 and June 25, 2018.

The class action lawsuit was filed against All Web Leads in February 2017 and was amended later that year after the initial plaintiff withdrew.

The plaintiffs claimed that they received telemarketing calls from All Web Leads which offered health insurance quotes or services.

These calls were allegedly a result of using the website www.Affordable-Health-Insurance-Plans.org, a site run by All Web Leads which is designed to help find healthcare insurance plans that fit within a certain budget.

Plaintiffs claimed that the calls from All Web Leads were a violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). The TCPA is a federal law that protects consumers from telemarketing calls, texts, and fax messages that are placed without their prior express written consent.

In June 2018, the court granted Class certification to the plaintiffs and denied All Web Leads’ attempt to challenge a plaintiff expert. Shortly after, the parties reportedly entered into mediation where they eventually settled the case for $6.5 million.

The settlement will provide Class Members with four rounds of payments, totaling at least $70. The payments will be distributed between 2019 and 2025.

This unusual payment schedule is designed to remedy some of the financial burden on All Web Leads as they are unable to pay the full settlement fund all at once.

Class Members need to file a valid claim by July 9, 2019 in order to receive compensation. The deadline for exclusion and objection is July 9, 2019. The final approval hearing is scheduled for Aug. 8, 2019.

I worked for them & trained to sell Medicare from the leads that these people were expected to get to the licensed crew. Customers didn’t know what they being called for. The marketers called them & told them crap like they were going to get a “Rebate” then we got passed the call. They were making these initial marketers call the customers without a legit reason, they were put in a position of doing something illegal, then we turn around & are following up THIS YEAR, 2022-2023! STILL DOING IT!!

If you value your soul and dignity DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY! They send consumers urgent messages/attention cards such as “urgent final Medicare, unemployment, SSI, and ridiculous stimulus notices. They also send out cards stating that the consumers are eligible to receive ridiculous amount of money back from the stated agencies as well. Now they tell us(the employees) that awl ONLY offers or assist with QUOTES. However, when we have consumers calling in inquiring about the notices/cards we are to say, “I can get you over to an agent who can assist you with that.” If the consumers wishes to continue we’re to transfer them to an agent who’s under the impression that the consumer actually called in for a quote. When in reality the consumer is under the impression that they’re being transferred to agents in whatever agency stated on their supposed notice. Several elderly consumers have called back stating that they’ve signed up for plans and NEVER RECEIVED THE POLICY INFORMATION VIA EMAIL AS THEY WERE TOLD. In addition to not getting the policies they’ve also complained that they were told money was to be drafted on later dates but instead the agents drafted their money at the time of signing up for policies. We’re told to give the consumers the numbers of the agents they last spoke with. Unfortunately the numbers are non working numbers. I’ve called them myself after so many complaints. I couldn’t take being outright dishonest and participating in scamming people anymore. So I started asking the consumers if they’re actually interested in getting information about their coverage options. When they say no and they’ve got all they need, I end the call. I was harassed by the team leads and production supervisors every day, given warnings and eventually discharged because I wouldn’t follow their deceiving procedures. They’ve been sued in 2019 for similar reasons but somehow they’re still in business with the same tactics. They’ve got several websites with different names and numbers. So when consumers request to be placed on the DO NOT CALL list for one of them they contact the same people over and over that have repeatedly stated that they are not interested in quotes. Easy and convenient at home part time job with decent pay but weighs heavily on your conscious. It’s not worth it. All of the negative reviews are ACCURATE!! The others are made up lies by their own team of employees who are told to post these dishonest positive reviews.
