Plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit allege the company violated the law through its representations that Godiva chocolates are made in Belgium, when in fact they are not. The plaintiffs claim the “Belgium 1926” statement on the label is misleading.

Class Members who wish to receive compensation must file a claim.
Those who submit proof of purchase along with their valid and timely claim form can receive $1.25 per product purchased, or up to a maximum potential payment of $25.
Without proof of purchase, claimants can receive $1.25 per product purchased, up to a maximum of $15.
These amounts also reflect the maximum payment amount per household.
The deadline to opt out of or object to the settlement is March 7, 2022.
Claim forms must be submitted no later than Feb. 23, 2022.
