Engaging a large audience on social media is not just about posting—it is about crafting a strategy that connects. At Top Class Actions, our expert social media and marketing teams excel at building campaigns that resonate. Recently, our Marketing Manager, Ethan Shurson, shared 10 actionable tips law firms can use to elevate their social media presence and foster meaningful engagement.

  1. Understand your audience: It is important to analyze your social media data and learn as much as you can about your existing audience. This includes the general demographic, where they are most active, their preferences and any available behavior information.
  2. Set SMART goals: Clear, well-defined goals should be established during the planning stage. These goals should be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound.
  3. Leverage storytelling: By creating a central theme or story, the audience is more likely to resonate with the campaign.
  4. Collaborate with influencers or law firms with large social followings: Influencers and larger brands have already built extensive social media followings. Your firm can leverage those numbers and expand your audience by working with them.
  5. Prioritize short-form video format: Many consumers resonate with short-form videos, like Instagram Reels and TikToks. You want to hook your audience’s attention within 10 seconds. Give them a high-level overview of information and encourage them to visit your site or contact you for more.
  6. Create interactive content: Posts that include polls, quizzes and Q&As are great ways to get people to interact. You can also encourage live engagement by streaming a discussion or Q&A session.
  7. Optimize your posting schedule: Most social platforms will provide analytics regarding when account traffic is heaviest and when your audience is the most engaged. This is the best time to post your campaign.
  8. Incentivize your audience: A giveaway is another great way to catch people’s attention and encourage interaction.
  9. Utilize paid ads strategically: While most social media interactions should be organic, you can use paid ads to reach those demographics that don’t typically interact with your accounts.
  10. Analyze and adjust: As you launch your new campaigns, keep a close eye on analytics, including the click-through rates. This information will show you if the campaign is working or not. If these numbers are not where you expected, you can make any necessary changes.
