AI tips for law firms to save time, improve processes

AI is becoming an intricate part of everyday life for some people who find that it simplifies routine tasks and makes quick work of to-do lists. Some law firms have started introducing AI to their workflows and are seeing similar benefits: simplified processes and improved productivity.

Before you can implement AI, you have to know what is available. Talk to vendors you currently work with to see if AI products are available. Sign up for mailing lists to keep updated on the latest advancements from your favorite tech companies. You can even reach out to other law firms to learn what tools they use and which ones they avoid.   

Identify areas that need improvement

Once you know what products are available and what the technology can do, you can start identifying areas of your business that would benefit from AI. Some popular uses of AI include: 

• Automating repetitive manual work 
• Reviewing long-form documents and medical records
• Writing and sending automated emails
• Acting as customer support in the form of chatbots
• Analyzing engagement numbers

Double-check AI’s work

As you start to utilize AI, remember that it is not perfect. You should always review the completed work to ensure it is factual, accurate and follows all pertinent ABA guidelines.
