Update from the President of TCA

I’m currently watching the USA battle Canada for the Gold Medal in hockey. What amazing teams! We’re down by 1 right now but I’m hoping we end strong. Go USA! Now more than ever I want to visit Vancouver. The aerial shots shown during the Olympics have been beautiful.

On to class actions. The DeBeers Diamond Settlement is still being reviewed by the Court. We were hoping it would be approved in the first quarter of 2010 but it doesn’t look like that will happen. We’ll update the page as soon as we know.

I’d like to mention a book written by a friend of mine, and former practicing attorney, Jon Hauer. Jon stopped practicing law to pursue his passion and his first book “Inside Passage” was just released. It’s a mystery/thriller centering on an attorney whose Alaskan cruise goes awry. I’m waiting for my copy and will let you know what I think in the next newsletter. Please support Jon’s efforts and buy his book now.
