Eagle Bank sent out notification letters to affected customers letting them know about the data breach and advising them on how they can now protect themselves from identity theft and fraud.

Information about the Eagle Bank data breach is reportedly limited at this time, with the only public facts about the incident coming from Eagle Bank’s filing with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office.

Based on the filing, the incident involved Eagle Bank’s computer network. The financial institution has not yet confirmed the amount of customers affected by the data breach, according to JD Supra.
