Popchips Class Action Settlement Money Mailed to Consumers

Consumers who purchased Popchips brand snack products between 2007 and 2013 are receiving checks in the mail this week from a class action lawsuit settlement approved in March.

Viewers are reporting on TopClassActions.com’s Facebook page that the Popchips class action settlement checks are arriving on small postcards that could easily be overlooked as junk mail.

The Popchips settlement checks are from a class action lawsuit (Tonya Kelly v. Popchips Inc.) that accused the snack maker of falsely marketing a wide variety of Popchips products as “all natural” and “healthier.”

Popchips denied the allegations but agreed to establish a class action settlement fund to reimburse consumers and resolve the litigation.

Class Members of the Popchips settlement included anyone in the United States who purchased certain Popchips brand snack products between Jan. 1, 2007 and Nov. 14, 2013.

Class Members had until July 7, 2014 to file a claim to receive up to $10 in cash or $20 in vouchers, depending on the number of products purchased.
