Details: The AT&T Mobility Universal Service Charge settlement will resolve a class action lawsuit, titled MBA Surety Agency Inc. v. AT&T Mobility LLC, that alleges AT&T violated state and federal law by assessing Universal Service Charges (USC) or similar charges on data pay-per-use plans, visual voicemail services, customer custom packaging plans, international calls outside the United States or voicemail services on bills issued from January 1, 2004 through December 31, 2010.
AT&T denies the allegations but has agreed to a $152,634,430 class action lawsuit settlement to resolve the litigation.
Class Members of the AT&T Mobility Universal Service Charge class action settlement include anyone who was assessed USC by AT&T Mobility on the Covered Services listed above on bills issued from January 1, 2004 up to and including December 31, 2010.
Current customers of AT&T Mobility will automatically receive a credit from the class action lawsuit settlement if it is approved. No Claim Form required.
Former AT&T Mobility customers must complete a valid Claim Form either online or submitted via regular mail on or before March 30, 2013 to receive a cash refund. The amount of money you can receive from the AT&T fee class action settlement will be based on how many people file valid and timely claims.
A Final Fairness Hearing is scheduled for February 20, 2013.
