By Sarah Pierce

AT&T Mobility settlementAT&T Mobility LLC has reached a class action lawsuit settlement over allegations it improperly charged fees to certain wireless customers. The AT&T Mobility Universal Service Charge settlement will resolve a class action lawsuit, titled MBA Surety Agency Inc. v. Former AT&T Mobility customers must complete a valid Claim Form either online or submitted via regular mail on or before March 30, 2013 to receive a cash refund. I have had numerous problems with ATT since I was forced to take Uverse after I moved two years ago. First, I was told that my Mobile phone would be included in my bundle, but after only a few months, the mobile service was separated and now I am paying two bills. I recently had problems with data overage charges on my mobile phone that were not incurred by me, but from somewhere in what they called my group. It happened for a period of two weeks with data overages being registered almost every day. I was credited for these overages, but no one at ATT seems to know what happened. If my wireless function is on, I cannot access very much, sometimes not even emails, so I have to switch to 4G. A few months ago, I accessed emails in my mobile phone, like my ATT Newsletter, and it came up in a Chinese lettered heading on the phone, but in English on my computer. Also a while back, I called ATT to look into my television service, which I could not turn on, got someone in India who told me they could do a diagnostic test if I would give them my credit card number. I would not and reported the incident to ATT, and was told that they do not need my credit card number. Never heard if ATT did anything about it. There are some good helpful representatives, but there are many, many more who do not seem to know what to do and transfer me several times through which I have to explain the problem over again, and after spending considerable time going through their automated system. I keep getting endless pleas for automatic payments, but I refuse to do that since the only person who makes withdrawals from my accounts is me! I am seriously considering going to T-Mobile for my mobile phone. I cannot leave ATT for my Internet, my television and my landline, since Uverse holds the monopoly there and I need to keep the Internet, my emails and my landline number for professional reasons. Perhaps a separate Class Action lawsuit could be started for customers who have or are having similar problems.
