Kettle chips class action settlementTop Class Actions readers are reporting that they are receiving settlement checks from the following class action lawsuits: Kettle Brand natural potato chips, Diamond Pet Foods, and the Vendini data breach.

Kettle Brand Natural Potato Chips

The Kettle brand natural potato chip class action settlement resolves allegations that Diamond Foods, the company that owns Kettle brand potato chips, falsely advertised its products as natural, containing nothing artificial, and made with non-GMO ingredients.

natural potato chip class action lawsuit alleged that the Kettle Brand potato chips do contain unnatural, synthetic, and/or artificial ingredient
s.

This class action settlement affects anyone in the United States who purchased Kettle Brand tortilla chips, potato chips or TIAS chips from Jan. 3, 2010 until Feb. 24, 2015.

Class Members are expected to receive $1 per Kettle Brand chips purchased. The maximum number of potato chip bags that Class Members were allowed to claim is 20.

 

Diamond Pet Foodskettle-settlement-checks

The Diamond Pet Foods class action settlement resolves allegations that its pet food products caused animals to become ill and in some cases died.

Diamond Pet Foods includes dog food sold at Costco under the Kirkland brand. Diamond also makes Apex, Canidae, Diamond, and Natural Balance dog foods, as well as others.

The amount that Class Members will receive varies. Some Class Members will receive a reimbursement for the pet food they purchased and/or veterinarian bills they racked up to have their pets treated. Some Class Members will receive relief through coupons for Diamond Pet Food products.

The Vendini data breach class action settlement resolves allegations that the live events ticket seller allowed customer information to be put at risk for identity theft as the result of a data security breach that occurred in 2013.

Vendini agreed to pay $3 million to cover all Class Members damages and all attorneys’ fees and costs. Class Members may receive up to $3,000 in unreimbursed identity theft losses.

One Top Class Actions reader said that she received a check for more than $3,200 from the Vendini class action settlement.

    I deposited a pretty hefty check from this vendini settlement today. Looks just like the one in the photo, except bigger $, with my name on it. I will never ignore a class action notification again!
