rescue it resurfacerNumerous consumers who used Olympic Rescue it Resurfacer are reportedly displeased with the combination paint-stain product.

According to consumers’ complaints, the resurfacer, which is supposed to extend the life of a wooden or concrete deck or patio, allegedly chips or cracks soon after application.

On their labels and marketing for their paint-stain product, Olympic advertises Rescue It as the “ultimate remedy for worn or weathered wood and concrete.”

However, according to consumers who used the product on their decks and patios, Olympic Rescue It is not hardy enough to withstand the elements and weather that most outdoor wooden and concrete surfaces are exposed to.

Olympic Rescue It Complications

Consumers claim that Olympic Rescue It resurfacer’s “high performance coating” and “waterproof protection,” do not work as advertised. As a result, many have tried to get their money back from the manufacturer of the acrylic, high performance coating.

One would think this would be easy, as Olympic does offer a satisfaction guarantee for those who purchase their Rescue It! Resurfacer and apply it according to the company’s instructions.

However, while a consumer may receive a refund for what they paid for the Olympic stain product, the company cannot give them back the time they lost when applying, waiting, and reapplying the paint-stain product as instructed over the course of hours, believing it would give their wooden deck or concrete patio a new lease on life and ultimately save them money.

Because the Olympic Rescue It Resurfacer peels and cracks horribly instead of filling in cracks and locking down splinters to provide a textured finish as promised, it not only does not allegedly work as advertised, but requires consumers to have their decks redone.

This is exact expense they were attempting to avoid or at least postpone by using the Olympic Rescue It Resurfacer. However, by using the product, they customers wasted money on the product, time on applying the paint-stain, and were forced to spend more money once the Olympic product did not work as advertised. Essentially, this home improvement project to refinish a deck had to be done twice over when Rescue It failed.

Olympic Rescue It! Class Action Investigation

It is important to note that Olympic does not give a specific amount of time the resurfacer is supposed to last and instead states, “the lifetime of the product may be limited by the condition of the wood or concrete that is being ‘rescued.”

However, even consumers who had wooden and concrete decks and patios that were in good condition prior to using Olympic Rescue It! say the product failed just months after application.

If you purchased and used Olympic Rescue It within the last couple years and the resurfacer did not work as advertised, you may be entitled to compensation and you may also be eligible to join an Olympic Rescue It class action lawsuit.
