Chase class action lawsuitJPMorgan Chase has reached a class action lawsuit settlement over allegations it violated the law by robo-calling mortgage borrowers on their cell phones without permission. If you received one of these autodialed calls between 2006 and 2011, you may be entitled to a cash payment of up to $500 from the class action lawsuit settlement.

The JPMorgan Chase autodial settlement will resolve a class action lawsuit, entitled Patricia Connor, et al. v. JPMorgan Chase Bank and Fannie Mae, that alleges the lender violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by calling persons with home mortgages or home equity lines of credit serviced by Chase on their cell phone numbers with an autodialer without prior express consent.

Chase denies any wrongdoing, but has created a class action lawsuit settlement fund of between $7 million and $9 million to resolve the litigation.

Class Members of the Chase TCPA class action settlement include all current and former borrowers or co-borrowers whose residential mortgage loan(s) or home equity line(s) of credit are or were serviced or subserviced by JPMorgan Chase Bank or Chase Home Finance and either the borrower, co-borrower or both, were contacted on their cell phone(s) by Chase through the use of an automated dialer system and/or an artificial or pre-recorded voice between June 16, 2006 through June 15, 2011.

You can find out if your cell phone number was called by Chase, and if it was, make a claim for a cash payment under the Chase TCPA settlement by either calling (877) 265-2018 or going online to www.ConnorTCPASettlement.com. Claim forms must be submitted by July 10, 2012 in order to receive a cash payment.

Class Members that submit a valid claim form by the deadline will receive a cash award of between $25 and $500, depending on the number of claims received and the amount of settlement costs.

Claim forms and more information on your rights in the Chase Bank TCPA Class Action Lawsuit Settlement can be found at www.ConnorTCPASettlement.com.

Detailed instructions on how to file a valid claim form and ensure you receive your settlement benefits can be found in our Open Lawsuit Settlements section.

You’ll need to try and contact the settlement administrator. The settlement administrator was Gilardi & Co LLC: https://www.gilardi.com/#. You can also try contacting class counsel as well. Class counsel is listed in the TCA settlement article: https://topclassactions.com/lawsuit-settlements/closed-settlements/1833-chase-home-mortgage-tcpa-class-action-lawsuit-settlement/. Good luck!

  4. Jose Cabrera says:

We had submitted a form for the insurance action against chase. What is the status on that settlement? They automatically placed insurance on our loan at a high cost without telling us.
