Target Generic Cold Medicine “Immunity Supplement” Class Action Settlement

By Kimberly Mirando

TargetTarget Corporation (NASDAQ: TGT) has reached a class action lawsuit settlement over its generic version of the cold medicine “Airborne,” which a class of consumers claim is ineffective at treating or preventing colds as advertised. Consumers who purchased Target’s “Immunity Supplement” or “Immunity System Support” within the past eight years can receive up to two vouchers for $5 off any $20 Target purchase if the class action settlement is granted final approval.

The Target Immunity Supplement settlement will resolve a class action lawsuit, entitled Buehlhorn v. Target Corporation, that alleges Target made false claims that its generic cold medicine Immunity Supplement products could treat or prevent illness. Target denies any wrongdoing but has agreed to a class action settlement to avoid ongoing litigation.

Class Members of the Target Immunity Supplement class action settlement include anyone who purchased a Target brand Immunity Supplement product between December 31, 2003 and October 24, 2011 in the United States. Class Members can receive up to two vouchers worth $5 off a purchase of $20 or more at any Target store (limit one voucher per purchase of an Immunity Supplement product).

To receive your $5 voucher(s) from the Target Immunity Supplement class action settlement, you must submit a valid claim form postmarked no later than January 23, 2012.

Claim forms and more information on your rights in the Target Immunity Supplement Class Action Lawsuit Settlement can be found at www.ImmunitySupplementRefund.com.

You can also find detailed instructions on how to file a valid claim form and receive up to $10 in Target Vouchers in our Open Lawsuit Settlements section.
