Target Uniform Policy Class Action Lawsuit
By Kimberly Mirando
The employee claims in the class action lawsuit that Target’s Uniform Policy is unlawful because employees are required to purchase and maintain the clothing and apparel at their own cost and expense without reimbursement from Target.
This is a direct violation of California law, which states:
The Target employee class action lawsuit is brought on behalf of all non-exempt Target employees in the State of California who were required to comply with Target’s Uniform Policy as a condition of their employment at any time during the last four years. It is seeking to recover all out-of-pocket expenses employees’ paid, as well as other damages and relief.
The case is Christopher Browning v. Target Corporation, Case No. 12-at-00480, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California.
