Award (how much your claim may be worth):
$14.97 (Up to three refunds valued at $4.99 each) OR a voucher for a free Flu Shot but NOT both. If you need a flu shot and don’t have health insurance it may be a good idea to opt for the Flu Shot voucher to be used at your local Walgreens.

Details: This class action lawsuit settlement is an EASY one to claim for those who purchased Walborn, Wal-born, Wal-borne, or Wal-borne Gold products, with the exception of Wal-born Hand Sanitizer, from Walgreens in the United States. Just go to the Class Action Settlement Administrator website, click on the Key Dates/Docs button at the top of the page, scroll down to the Case Documents area and click on Claim Form. This will download the claim form to your computer. Print it out.
Once the claim form is printed out, you’ll need to fill it out completely (including your phone number.) Remember, if any portion of the form isn’t filled out your claim may be denied. Next, you have to answer questions 1 and 2. If you answer “No” to either question you likely don’t fit in the class and your claim will most likely not be paid out. For question 3 you need to select whether you want a cash payment or a voucher for a flu shot. If you have receipts you can skip the fourth question. As most people don’t have receipts, you’ll likely need to fill it out. They are only paying out claims for up to THREE (3) units of Wal-Born/Walborn/Wal-Borne purchased from Walgreens so if you bought all three at once, fill that in. Remember, only purchases of Wal-born between 5/24/01 and 3/31/09 qualify. If you list a purchase date outside this window you aren’t included in the class action. As I recall they used to have combo deals (in fact I bought three at once) so it’s entirely plausible that you purchased all three at once. Make sure to put in the date of purchase, how many you purchased, the purchase price of each unit (up to $4.99 each) and the location of the purchase (address if known, if not, the city and state – Walgreens Store Locator.) You’re almost done! Now just sign and date the form, put it in an envelope and send it to the address above. You’ll get your cash or voucher for a free a flu shot after the settlement closes.
Purchased From: May 24, 2001 through March 31, 2009
Claims Accepted Until (YOU MUST SUBMIT YOUR CLAIM BY THIS DATE!): 9/7/09

Class Action Lawsuit Settlement Amount(s): $1,862,000 = $462,000 Attorney Fees/expenses (ESTIMATE) + $1,400,000 Award to class members (includes $5000 Lead Plaintiff award [$2,500 to each lead Plaintiff] and Settlement Administrator/Notification expenses)
Settlement Administrator(s): Class Action Administration, Inc.
TCA Staff Tidbit: The Wal-borne/Walborn/Wal-born class action lawsuit is similar to the Airborne settlement of last year. It includes the stipulation that Walgreens must change how they label the packages (about three pages worth of changes in the wal-born class action settlement documents.) Overall it’s an easy claim process. Just fill out the form and await your check (or voucher for a flu-shot.) It’s highly unlikely that the number of flu shot claims will drain the fund (they’re given priority over the cash payments) so you should be in good shape if you submit a cash claim.
As many class action lawsuit settlements have now adays, this includes a CyPres portion. Unclaimed funds (up to $1,200,000) will be paid out to charities in the form of $30 Flu shot vouchers for them to distribute as they see fit. It’s great to see that not only will the “average Joe/Jane” benefit from this settlement but some very worthy causes will as well. Now, go forth and submit your claim! If you don’t have health insurance this may be your chance to get a free Flu Shot courtesy of Walgreens.
What you may not know is that Australia may be showing us what our Flu Season will be like. Right now it’s winter there and they’re in the peak of the flu season. Some areas of Australia are seeing up to a 35% call out rate for their schools due to the flu. Don’t let this happen to you. Get your flu shot this year, courtesy of Walgreens. If you bought Walborn, Wal-borne, or Wal-born submit your claim in this class action lawsuit now. No proof of purchase is required, so get moving even if you can’t find your receipts! Did you also purchase Cold MD, another homeopathic cold remedy/immune system booster? Make sure to check out the Cold MD class action lawsuit settlement. It’s another cash settlement which not only pays out cash, but, you can even receive some free bottles of Cold MD as well. Check out the Cold MD class action lawsuit settlement.
