RadioShackRadioShack Corp. has reached a $5.3 million class action lawsuit settlement over claims it violated federal law by printing credit card expiration dates on its receipts. If you used a debit or credit card at a RadioShack store between 2010 and 2011, you may be entitled to a $10 voucher from the class action settlement.

The RadioShack settlement will resolve a class action lawsuit (Redman, et al. v. RadioShack Corp.) that alleges RadioShack violated the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA) by printing the expiration dates of credit or debit cards on receipts provided to customers.

RadioShack denies any wrongdoing but has agreed to a class action lawsuit settlement to resolve the litigation. A federal court preliminarily approved the deal on May 29. A Final Approval Hearing is scheduled for September 17, 2013.

Class Members of the RadioShack FACTA settlement include all persons who, between August 24, 2010 and November 21, 2011, paid by credit or debit card for products or services and received an electronically printed receipt from any store that contained the expiration date of their card.

Class Members will receive a $10 RadioShack Settlement Voucher redeemable at any RadioShack store, if they submit a valid Claim Form by August 27, 2013.

Claim Forms and more information on your rights in the RadioShack FACTA Class Action Lawsuit Settlement can be found at www.ShackSettlement.com.

The case is Redman, et al. v. RadioShack Corp., Case No. 11-cv-6741, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division.

Guess what? The website to submit a claim online…WON’T LET YOU…if you call the number for “help” it repeats a bunch of generalized information already on the site and refers you back to the site with no “help” or assistance at all. Strange. Seems that they have disabled that submit button in the final hours hoping no one will notice or care. I believe that warrants a part two action.

the fact that Redman & you bunch of scumb sucking attorney’s would beat Radio Shack for $5M is pathetic.
This attitude of making a living off other people’s honest mistakes is one of the major contributors to much of the greed and dishonesty problems we are facing in today’s world.
I hope you A-holes gag to death on your profits.
