These price fixing antitrust class actions for pharmaceuticals just keep on coming. As many have stated, Pharmaceutical Companies typically take in millions or BILLIONS of dollars from successful commercial drugs. Yes, they also invest millions of dollars to come to market with each drug, but, their profit is AMAZING. It's no surprise we're not seeing any stimulus packages for the Big Pharmaceutical manufacturers, right?
The surprising thing is that it took so long for these lawsuits to come out. Seriously now, are we supposed to believe it costs $5 per tablet to manufacture a drug? I believe that we're all in agreement, good drugs, good vaccines, good therapies, cost MONEY to develop but there has to be a breaking point. Now the question is, if this is happening with the Pharmaceutical Companies, is Big Oil far behind? We know that many have tried, but, none have succeeded in getting one of those cases to settle (or even progress in the courts) but I feel confident it will happen. At least the pharmaceutical companies are recognizing the issue and actively trying to settle these claims. Will that happen with Big Oil? What do you think?
