Higher One, Chase TCPA, Dollar General Class Action Settlements Pay Out
April has been a good month for settlement payouts so far! Viewers of Top Class Actions who submitted claims for the Higher One OneAccount settlement, Dollar General background check settlement, and the Chase Home Mortgage TCPA settlement are reporting that they have received checks in the mail. Some viewers reportedly received hundreds of dollars. Congratulations to everyone who submitted valid claims and got paid!

 

Neurontin Restless Legs Treatment Linked to Birth Defects  – Approximately one third of pregnant women experience restless legs syndrome, a condition that causes an uncontrollable urge to move the legs. Neurontin is a treatment option for women with RLS, but it comes with potential side effects such as the risk of Neurontin birth defects. If you or a loved one took Neurontin (gabapentin) and had a baby with a birth defect, you may have a legal claim. Find out if you qualify now.

 

7.1M More Chase Customers Will Be Notified of TCPA Class Action Settlement  – An Illinois federal judge told Chase Bank USA that it needs to inform an additional 7.1 million customers who qualify as Class Members of a TCPA class action settlement. The settlement resolves allegations Chase Bank violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by contacting consumers on their cellphones without their consent. The deadline for Class Members to file a claim for the Chase TCPA settlement has also been extended, so find out if you qualify now!

 

Stevens Johnson Syndrome May Be Side Effect of DilantinDilantin, also known as phenytoin, was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for treating seizures in 1953. However, the seizure medication may be linked to a serious and often fatal disease known as Stevens Johnson Syndrome (SJS). Symptoms of SJS include flu-like symptoms followed by a rash and painful blistering of the skin and mucous membranes. SJS can lead to blindness, organ damage and death. If you or a loved one were diagnosed with SJS or toxic epidermal necrolysis after taking a medication, you may have a legal claim against the drug’s manufacturer.

 

Judge Preliminarily Approves Home Depot Guardrail Bracket Class Action Settlement A Kansas federal judge has granted preliminary approval to a class action settlement with Home Depot USA Inc. and guardrail maker Barrette Outdoor Living Inc. over allegedly defective guardrail brackets. The settlement will resolve a class action lawsuit alleging Barrette guardrail brackets are not designed to withstand force and put consumers at risk of falling. If you purchased Barrette guardrail products from Home Depot, you may be entitled to cash benefits from the class action settlement.

 

Mirena Lawsuits May Address Pseudotumor CerebriSome women are filing birth control lawsuits alleging certain contraceptives (including the Mirena IUD) increase the risk of a condition called pseudotumor cerebri. Pseudotumor cerebri results from an excess of the fluid that normally occurs in the brain and spinal cord, causing headaches and other uncomfortable symptoms. If you were diagnosed with pseudotumor cerebri or intracranial hypertension after using Mirena or another form of birth control, you may have a legal claim.

 

Remington Rifle Class Action Settlement Gets Green LightA Missouri federal judge has preliminarily approved a class action settlement over allegations the triggers in millions of rifles produced and sold by Remington Arms Company LLC are faulty and can cause the rifles to accidentally discharge. Under the terms of the class action settlement, Remington will replace the trigger systems on more than 7 million of its rifles.

 

New Skin Cancer Lawsuits Allege Link to Viagra Plaintiffs have begun filing Viagra melanoma lawsuits following a study suggesting a link between the popular erectile dysfunction drug and the deadly form of skin cancer. The study suggests that Viagra lowers the levels of an enzyme called PDE5A, increasing the invasiveness of melanoma cancer cells. If you or a loved one were diagnosed with melanoma skin cancer after taking Viagra, Levitra or Cialis, you may qualify to take legal action.

 

HSBC Reaches Insurance Kickback Class Action SettlementHSBC PLC and Assurant Inc. have agreed to pay $1.8 million to settle allegations HSBC received kickbacks for locking consumers into inflated flood insurance contracts. The proposed class action settlement will provide cash benefits to Class Members who paid HSBC for allegedly overpriced force-placed flood insurance policies.

 

Pradaxa Bleeding Risk Data Withheld, Investigation FindsDrug manufacturer Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals withheld critical evidence of Pradaxa bleeding events from the FDA, according to a new investigative report conducted by the British Medical Journal. The report suggests that the drug maker failed to disclose that patients fare better when their plasma levels are monitored during treatment, and that uncontrollable bleeding risks may have been prevented by adjusting the Pradaxa dosage. If you or a loved one took Pradaxa and suffered side effects, you may have a legal claim.
