AT&T Unauthorized Third-Party Billing Settlement
– AT&T has agreed to settle a lawsuit alleging it charged mobile customers for third-party services such as ringtones, wallpaper or text messages without their authorization. Current and former AT&T customers who paid for unauthorized third-party charges may be eligible for a refund from the AT&T settlement.
Antibiotic Liver Injury Reports Linked to Avelox,Levaquin – Avelox and Levaquin are commonly prescribed quinolone antibiotics. However, there is growing concern that these popular antibiotics may pose an increased risk of liver injuries and other side effects. If you or a loved one took Cipro,Levaquin, Avelox or another quinolone antibiotic and were diagnosed with liver failure, Stevens Johnson Syndrome or toxic epidermal necrolysis, you may have a legal claim.
LeanSpa Weight Loss Supplement Settlement –The marketers of LeanSpa weight loss supplements have agreed to settle a deceptive marketing lawsuit that was filed by the Federal Trade Commission in 2011. The FTC lawsuit alleged LeanSpa’smarketers created fake news websites to promote its products. If you purchased LeanSpa weight loss products, you could be eligible for refunds from the deceptive marketing settlement. The deadline is approaching quickly, so submit your claim now!
Bayer, Johnson & Johnson Face Xarelto Side Effects Lawsuit – Bayer and Johnson & Johnson unit Janssen Pharmaceuticals are facing a Xareltolawsuit alleging the blood thinner is dangerous and defective. The Xarelto lawsuit alleges the defendants concealed important safety information and failed to properly test the drug before it was put on the market.
Gateway XHD3000 Monitor Defect Class Action Settlement Approved – Gateway Inc. will pay $1.5 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging its XHD3000 gaming computer monitors have a defect that causes them to flicker and experience other display issues. The Gateway class action settlement received final approval last week and clears the way for consumers who purchased the allegedly defective monitors to receive cash benefits.
Faulty GM Ignition Switch Death Count Rises –General Motors has deemed 30 deaths allegedly caused by the ignition switch defect as “eligible claims,” while hundreds of other claims are waiting to be reviewed. If you or a loved one were hospitalized or died in an accident involving a GM vehicle affected by the ignition switch defect, you could be eligible for compensation.
Hertz to Pay $53M to Resolve Nevada Car Rental Class Action – A federal judge ruled against Hertz and has ordered the company to pay more than $53 million to customers who paid “concession recovery fees” when renting cars from Hertz. If you rented a car from Hertz at a Nevada airport location, you could be entitled to a refund of these fees.
$10M Verdict Upheld in Children’s Motrin SJS Lawsuit – A court in Pennsylvania recently upheld a $10 million verdict against McNeil-PPC Inc. in a Stevens Johnson Syndrome lawsuit involving a 3-year-old girl’s severe allergic reaction to Children’s Motrin. If you or someone you know were diagnosed with Stevens Johnson Syndrome or toxic epidermal necrolysis after taking a prescribed or over-the-counter medication, you may be able to take legal action against the drug’s manufacturer.
BSH Nears Moldy Washer Class Action Settlement – A federal judge has issued a stay in a class action lawsuit alleging Bosch and Siemens washing machines are susceptible to mold growth after the parties indicated they had reached a tentative deal. The class action settlement would provide benefits to consumers who purchased certain Bosch and/or Siemens front-loading washers.
Pfizer Facing Viagra Melanoma, Vision Concerns – Already under scrutiny over concerns that Viagra may increase the risk of melanoma, a new study suggests that Viagra can cause vision problems. Researchers found that mice exposed to Viagra experienced changes in the way their retinas worked. If you or a loved one were diagnosed with melanoma skin cancer after taking Viagra, Levitra or Cialis, you may have a legal claim.

Update from the President of Top Class Actions
Happy Veterans Day everyone! I hope you’re enjoying your day off if you have it, and working hard like me and so many others if you don’t! Veterans Day was always a fun day at the Hardy home growing up. My dad served our country proudly in Vietnam in the Army Corps of Engineers so I grew up getting educated about this day to remember and thank our veterans. In fact, my big brother and I would typically spend Veterans Day in fatigues, digging through our dad’s Army trunk looking for pins and other things to put on our “uniforms” before heading to downtown Tucson for the Veterans Day parade. I would proudly wear my fatigues, pretending that I was my dad, serving my country and protecting us from those evil Russians (wait, are the Russians the bad guys again?). I remember how BIG I felt when I was in my uniform and what I REMEMBER to be a general SALUTED me! I was probably 8 or 9 years old. I stood up straighter and felt 10 feet tall as he passed by. Men and women like my dad fought for freedom—the freedom to make memories like those happen. Memories that stick with you the rest of your life. Thank you to all of our veterans! Thank you for your service and thank you for doing your part to make sure America is safe for me, my kids and beautiful bride.
