Update from the President and CEO of Top Class Actions

Good morning everyone! I hope you had a GREAT day! We had a good week in Arizona. LOTS of rain on Monday and tragically a few deaths due to flash floods. Arizonans aren’t used to seeing washes that are dry 362 days a year full of rushing water (and the water disappears within a day.) When the rains do come they can hit the hardpan soil hard and the runoff is truly incredible to watch. Normally dry washes become muddy rapids that easily sweep cars away. Kids here hit the streets jumping, dancing, and running through the puddles and “lakes” while they last. Not exactly sanitary, but, it’s an Arizona tradition! My girls are always happy for any excuse to use their rain boots! We may see some more rain this week as HurricaneOdile makes its way up north. I don’t think we’ll see the 100 year storm we saw last week, but, hopefully it will top off our aquifers and help quench the dry desert we live in.

On the Top Class Actions side of things we’ve got a brand new investigation going up this week involving bad sushi rice in California. It’s pretty disgusting, and if you’re in California, you need to read about it (especially if you got sick after eating sushi.) It’s amazing what businesses will do to try and squeeze out more margin from their products. Unfortunately some businesses don’t care until they’re caught by consumers like you. You work with a class action attorney and get the problem fixed. Sadly this particular example may hurt great sushi restaurants in California as patrons may stay away in fear of getting bad rice. Hopefully your favorite sushi place is using the good stuff!

That’s all for now! Have a GREAT week! Here are the latest lawsuit and settlement updates!
